i'm wanting to so workers next year- but it'll be the first time with a worker that hasn't done anything before- others were school masters.
the height and width isn't a problem, i was just wondering about fillers, as we dont have any whp fillers,
any intersting ideas- apart from hiring other peoples and shows- as i plan to do this at a later date

Look out for working hunter clinics near to home, or check whether anywhere local will hire out their WH course for lessons/schooling.
At home, try and improvise - things like trimmings from conifers, the fake grass they use on market stalls etc, fake flowers, plastic under the fences to look like water, anything safe that can be begged or borrowed!

straw/shaving bales is always a good one and also B&Q and ask if the will sell you the tray that they put the plants in they look just like water trays sometimes they will sell you them really cheap and other time they wont depend on who you ask.Totally agree with milliesmum just try to improvise with thing you can find at home, hope that helps.

We have a wooden ladder as a filler and we cut a wooden gate in half and used that under a jump. Tarpaulin works well as a water tray, just put some poles on the edges to stop it blowing away.

garages have to pay to get rid of tyres so my dad brings them home for me to use as jumps. i thread them onto a pole and they make a brill scary jump with good width!!! plus like someone else said, haybales are great and also a couple of narrow poles as there is usually a stile or narrow fence.
