im doing my 1st ever ridden class in jan, its only a turnout class, hes in a loose ring snaffle with the rubber bit guards as worry it will pinch with out, so, i need a different bit, was thinking a full cheek snaffle, are these alowed, it low/fun level showing.

I would go for an eggbutt, that won't pinch and looks neater than a full cheek, we use eggbutt french links all the time - at home and in the ring.

I prefer the feel a loose ring gives, it has more play, feel and makes it harder for them to lean on. A good quality, well fitted loose ring shouldn't rub and looks neat.
I'd just try it without the bit guards and see how it goes.

will you have to do a ridden show or just stand in line and be judged on your turnout? As that would influence which bit I would choose!
