hi, i have a 14.2hd arab gelding, and i need some saddle advice. all the saddles either slide or pinch him
i went to oakfield saddlery and they said they recommended a 16-16.5 saddle for him.
i was just wondering if someone could give me some advice

I would avoid Oakfield Saddlery - Just my opinion though.
Dont know what help it is but my 14.2 pba was in a 17" saddle

I fit a few Arabs, they need flattish trees which is where many makers and fitters fall down, do let me know if I or a colleague can help, we have agents over most of the UK. If you post good photos of him I might be able to say more.

i have 17 inch fylde xena, which is a samantha on a marjorie tree on my 15hh arab. its medium wide, although i expect him to be wide when worked as he is newly backed.
dont think you can go wrong with any of the fylde saddles on an arab xx

It's not possible for ANY model of any brand to always fit a certain shape of horse. You need a good fitter who understands your shape of horse - fitting without a fitter present is always higher risk with a tricky to fit horse.
Did you manage to find a saddle OP? I am visiting the NW next month if that's any help at all.
