Make it a nice forward going well balanced round. Always remember to enjoy and a nice smile at the end of your round and halt and salute your judge.

The jumping is not a race, but needs to be forward going and fluent. After your round halt salute.. Smile! You will then go into a show in which you will walk, trot on both reins, canter on both reins and a short extension, halt salute and smile again! Sometimes they strip the ponies(take the saddle and boots off) and walk away and trot back from the judge. Go into prize giving together. Good luck for the 2013 season! ;D

I do m&m workers all season, depends on different judges on what they are looking for! Some like it to be a little more gun ho as If you are actually hunting others more calm and collected like sj.

Your jumping round should be like a show piece with fences, flowing lines, not rushing in to fences and making the most of the arena or ring space.

Start of doing novices, and then progress when you feel you're doing well at the novices xxx

If you start at novice and local level to get used to it then you should just watch what others do and try and get the best lines and good, steady strides on the approach to the fences! Also what I found helpful was to ask the judge for feedback and they should be able to give you advice and help with what you need to do!
