Has anyone ever had a DNA test done and what did it show? Could I get breed info from it. I would love to see how my pacer mare is bred? Or am i expecting too much?

loulabelle is right, you need to know one of the parents names and they have to have been dna tested in order to check if they match

No she has just got a standard passport. I've just been told various things. I'm currently training the pacing out of her but that's all she knew when I got her. Do you think that it's been bred into her or more likely to have been trained into her? I've looked on websites and it was talking about horses who have been bred to pace have a genetic variation? I'm really wanting to find out what bread she could be but I don't think it will ever happen. I don't have a clue how I would track her parents with no information!! I would really like to try and at least find out whether she would pass her pacing onto her foals x

There a lot of skew bald pacer stallions on the stagbi website. I know it doesn't always go like this but realistically could this be done? Get a DNA sample off her and see if it matches any of the stallions on the website for example? This is just a thought? Or am I being to ambitious x
