Hi, I have a 2 year old silver bay registered miniature stallion and have a couple of questions: Does he need to be licensed to show? How do I get him licensed? What are the costs of it? Any help is massively appreciated Thanks Chelsea

Why don't you ask your breed society/governing body?

Is it miniature shetland or horse?
They don't have to be licensed to do local level but you will need to read the rules for each show. For a mini shet it is £100 for the application from the breed society then my local vet quoted about £75 plus call out fee plus charge for doing the microchip. It was about £250 all together. If it's a miniature horse you'd need to ring the society as I don't know if their procedure is different :-)

Look on the IMHPS website-this will be far cheaper than licensing him with the BMHS and it is very complicated and expensive if both his parents and himself are not already registered.
