Not sure what to do next i have a section a pony who is very very safe and a great fyfr he is now out on loan for a couple of months to help my friend get her little one off the lead, he will never be for sale as i have 2 younger children that will need him to come off the lead. The problem is what do i get my oldest daughter she has just come off the lead and is riding well on her own but is still learning to canter i am looking for another pony who is a bit more forward going but not too much as she is a big whimp and has no bottle what pony do i get.

Keep her on the one she has if she's a wimp you don't want to scare her when she gets really fed up and wants to go faster and is more confident then Think about getting something else x

I agree, if she is still just learning to canter, your section a sounds perfect. You really don't want to put her off, once she's begging for something faster then is the time to move on.

I agree and would let the child progress at their own rate. Its not always possible, but sometimes it can work well to work two alongside each other and have a transition period, where you have the slightly upgraded version to progress onto but the old faithful to keep the confidence up[. Confidence in a child is often hard won and very easily lost. Don't be in a rush!
