Hi everyone, just a quick update. Our mixed m&m show is going ahead on the 19th May. Our schedule is also out on the link posted above so now all we need is you lovely people to enter. We have some new classes this year and maybe even a few new fences for our workers courses which will look great. If you have any questions please feel free to ask and I will do my best to answer them.

Hi, I've just looked at your schedule & I can't see any in hand classes - I'd intended on bringing one for a bit of mileage...

Hi Stacey. We had a long discussion when doing the schedule this year and had a look at our entries last year and made the decision not to hold them. It wasn't taken lightly but we had 2 entries and felt that because of this it wasn't wanted. I guess we can't get everything right. Sorry

We had planned to come but couldnt justify the diesel for one class as there is only one first ridden sorry . I think with the high price of fuel and the harsh economic times you need to try and have a couple of classes for each section if possible . I did think about coming and my daughter doing the first ridden and then seeing if she felt up to doing the juniors if there wasnt to many in it but not at £20 for entries on the day . Good luck with the show though and i hope you get more entries

I understand. we have kept our entry fees the same as last year and have no plans to increase them.
When we were sorting our schedule out we looked at the entries we had last year at both shows there were 2 entries in the lr/fr and the inhand had 2. We came to the decision to run the classes that were popular.
Unfortunately if the classes that had very low entries don't get supported we as organisers have to draw the line somewhereso it then becomes a vicious circle.
We thought long and hard and many hours were taken thrashing it out and we thought we had a great range of classes but as with everything in life you can't please everyone all of the time. It is a shame but what else can we do?

Thats understandable it cant be easy running shows these days . If it wasnt for the ridiculous high price of fuel at the mo we would have probably come for the one class .

As an add on if anyone is going or lives nearby with a lead rein jockey we could borrow we would be thrilled. We have a very willing, safe Dartmoor who would love to party and do the lead rein class led by Chloe. If anyone is interested please get in touch with me. Hoping someone can help us out with a willing jockey.

Guys if any of you are thinking of coming we have extended our pre entry rate for one more day.
The rings are looking great, the rosettes have arrived and so have our 2 new working hunter fences.
We have great ground, homecooked food and cakes and more importantly a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

We came to this show last year and it was great with huge entries in the ridden classes especially! We can't make it this year but its a great show and right on the M25 so people can get to it easily. Good luck with your show, I am sure lots will enter on the day :-)

Thank you for such lovely comments teacups it is so nice to hear that people enjoyed themselves. I have spent the last two days at the showground and have been busy getting everything ready. The ground in both rings has been rolled and mowed and the going is absolutely perfect. Our new fences look great and I have a trip planned to the garden centre tomorrow to get the rings spruced up and ready to go for Sunday I will post pre entries up tomorrow on our facebook page www.facebook.com/warrenbarnevents Hope to see you all on Sunday
