Hello, I am wanting to breed of my mare - and have a couple of stallions in mind but would like to see everyone elses results too I'm a thinking of going down the coloured route so will be particularly interested in seeing any coloured offspring and which stallion you used. I have wanted a coloured for years but have much more pride in showing one with my own prefix. I'm in North Yorks but willing to travel for the right stallion. Please no lectures on how too many people are breeding already, I'm a responsible owner with plenty of breeding experience (never bred from a Welsh before though - we are a Dartmoor stud) - my mare is 7 now, I've had her since a foal and I love her to bits, she (like the future foal) has a home with me for life and I would like to have something to carry her on once she's retired from riding. I'm very particular with what I breed from and know that she has a wonderful temperament and good conformation. I aim on breeding something to mainly show (both flat classes and WHP), but also to enjoy hacking, hunting, dressage and x-country so really aiming for a good allrounder. I'm a small adult - 5ft 4" and look a good size on the mare (13.2hh) but don't want anything smaller, nor anything too big as it is her first foal. My mares main fault is that she is a bit short in her length of rein so i would like to improve on this.

Hiya have a look on www.sherlocks-stud.co.uk at Sherlock's Seren Dreamer his sire was a section c we have also crossed him onto 2 D mares and you can see both foals. I would do the cross again with his Dam but then she very welsh like and I think that helped with him looking so much like a C.
