Right, I am starting to consider outfits for our first season of lead rein, only local though as my daughter isnt 3 until April. But still want to look the part. I have a navy pleated skirt, but am unsure of which jacket to go for! I have a lovely double breasted navy jacket (but would that be to show pony?) but thought could get a navy and tweed hat and my daughter a jacket in the same tweed. OR I do have a nice tweed jacket, used to show jump in it, has velvet collar, gold piping and gold buttons (looks like alot of leaders jackets I have seen on pp's etc) but cant seem to find a tweed THAT similar for a hat or for my daughters jacket. So is it better to wear the tweed and not match exactly? Or wear the navy and m&m it up a bit with a tweed hat and scarf etc? Also should I carry a cane?? I have a brown leather or a silver topped bamboo one. Sorry for all the questions! I bypassed LR and FR went straight into 13hh SHP in my own showing! All opinions welcome please

Personally I would prefer the navy with tweed hat & matching rider's jacket with the brown cane, although at local level the other option would be equally acceptable.
Sorry, not much help!

I have shown M&M at local and county level with a blue tweed and skirt and hat, but as my daughter grew she went from a blue tweed to a green tweed. The fact that we didnt match didnt detract from the ponys quality or way of going and I never got a comment from a judge saying we didnt match. Maybe it was an advantage because it made us stand out from the other grey sec a s when they were on the final go round.
