For my extended project I am planning to document the breaking of a pony which I have in to back. This is apparently fine as a topic but I need to make it into a question that I can then answer in my essay. Do you have any ideas? Thanks x

Hmm, that's tricky - it would almost be easier if you were doing two, so could do some sort of comparison. will have a think about it. What is your course?

Something along the lines of "What is the process that is commonly followed to back a pony?"

When I was doing my extended project a couple of years ago we were told that a girl the previous year had done hers on a similar idea. She did hers as an "artefact" as opposed to a "report". This meant that the horse was the artefact as it was the result of the project; she produced a scrapbook which documented photographically what she'd done (she couldn't hand the horse in as the artefact!) and then wrote a 1000 word "explanation" detailing what she'd researched, how she'd used it and the sources she'd used. It's not really a project that can have a question for a title, to prove or disregard. I think I'd go for a statement instead, something along the lines of "The research and implementation of a young horse's ridden education." You can then use various sources; contact proffesionals, carry out primary research, find scientific papers that discuss growth plates and the like which'll help get you the higher marks. Keep a step by step diary of everything you do with the horse, with as much photographic evidence as possible. Videos might also be useful for your final presentation. Also produce a plan of what you're going to do within the timescale for your "planning and time management" marks. Of course one of the "problems" you'll encounter will be the horse being a live animal with a mind of it's own that may not fit into this timescale You can use this in the "what could I have done better" discussion...

Thankyou very much, I had already planned to use the horse as the artefact, just need to get on with it now! x

Hey there! Documenting the process of breaking in a pony sounds like a fascinating project! To turn it into a question for your essay, you might consider something like: "What are the key challenges and techniques involved in successfully breaking in a pony?" This could allow you to delve into the various aspects of training and bonding with your pony throughout the process. Also, if you ever find yourself needing assistance with your essay or any other academic tasks, I highly recommend checking out write my paper. I've used their services before, and they were incredibly helpful in providing top-notch papers tailored to my requirements. It's definitely worth considering if you want to ensure your academic success without the stress. Best of luck with your extended project! 🐴✨
