Is it just me or are there a lot of people wasting a sellers time asking for pics to be sent to them when they have no intentions of even considering looking at the pony/horse or item witch is up for sale

How would you know what people do keyboard warrior? I don't waste people's time either, u want to sell a horse put a pic up too its bloody simple! would you buy view something 300 miles away before a pic? I have every intention of buying something but looking for the right pony takes time! Last pony I bought in September and shes a lovely mare and didn't even view her in person just on a pic, so before slandering people get your bloody facts right you cheeky mare!

Shelliewilson try not to rise to it. I have been very lucky that I only enquired about 2 ponies and bought them both as when I read something and see a picture I tend to have a gut feeling. I do agree that if you don't want to be asked for pics then they should be attached to the ad in the first place and the last ad that shelliewilson commented on she asked the height of the pony which to be honest you would normally expect on the add in the first place but they must have forgotton. There are a few threads running at the minute about how sellers don't have the time to send pics ect so it works both ways. This ones a pointless thread if you ask me but everyone to their own.

Thanks rebel makes me so cross when people try to make you out into a timewaster! Just want to see a pic and relevant details its not much to ask if somebody really wants to sell to you.... X

Actually it's relatively new, it came with the advent of the internet. Before that you rang in response to an ad and talked to the vendor, then if you liked the sound of it went to have a look. If you were lucky there may have been one photo on an ad, often not as it cost more.

Times have changed tho and whereas when people used to drive to see a pony petrol was 40p a litre, it's now £1.40! Massive costly difference if your even travelling an hour away! Hooray to the Internet to save everyone's time and money!!! Plus saving the environment of fumes ;-) everyone's a winner ;-)

Plus there is nothing to stop advertiser writing call if interested no messages and then ignore anyone who doesn't listen! Again I believe fault lies at the hands of the seller and lack of info and pics

I spent a good few hours preparing an add for a friend. Full description, photos of her horse doing all sorts of activities. And also video links. After all this is only what I would like if I was looking. Saves a lot of wasted time replying to people who don't really know what you are selling! She had 6 serious buyers all wanted him and he was sold to the first person that saw him. Worth the effort!

Only setting the record straight, I agree it's lots easier to exchange info' these days. Must admit though I learned lots more from actually talking to vendors than from just reading ads, I liked buying riddens from people who thought and worked along the same lines as we do. Saved myself lots of time, money and trouble that way. It benefits the buyer not the vendor to talk.

I didn't write this post about you shelliewilson but if the shoe fits. It was just in general people wasting sellers time as ive looked at what horses you are interested in i must say you are very random im all for people wanting more info on what ever is up for sale we all want the perfect pony/horse but you only get out what you put in.

Well maybe you should keep your nose out, if you look properly I am mainly interested in welshes but I love all m&m's so always on the lookout for a new star to add to my collection if that's ok with you??? Yes this post was directed at me as going off the time it was wrote, the same time you accused me of being a time waster elsewhere on hg! Nice to know you've done so much research on me you really must have too much time to waste!!!

People need to follow your example instead of accusing innocent buyers like me who have only inquired because details and pics were missing! ;-)

Yes I do agree in the older days things were like this and to be fair I reckon alot of people ended up buying unsuitable ponies! If you are into showing as I am I know what kind of show animal I am looking for and if a pic is not on an add then its not my fault for inquiring!!! I only need to see a few good pics to know what I want and like with my last purchase will just pay and have delivered no messing about!!! So be it a lesson to all sellers- stop winging about having to sell your own horse and put the leg work in to portray it to its full potential, then as Chocolove has proved you will only get genuine inquiries!!!

Couldn't agree more with you it drives me mad that I show interest in a pony to be publicly branded by this person as being a time waster, why don't they just mind there own instead of bit*hing is beyond me!
