I may end up in the awkward position of having to take my PBA to equifest instead of my welshie. (This all depends if my welshie is back in work once we have found out what is wrong with him). There are hardly any ridden PBA classes and two inhand ones, one of which is a riding pony inhand class. My mare is a 14.2 show pony but I have long since been out of the class due to my age. Has anybody else found the lack of PBA classes disappointing?

Talking of PBA classes- the RIHS pba classes, does the judge ride a 153cm?

I think anything over 148cm the judge rides but at RI they ride both.
The cherif is an extra class to do or have you already looked at that?

As Bleanwoodro has commented, most of the Show Pony classes do not have rider age limits on them at Equifest. The only ones that do have age limits are the Equifest Show Pony Championship classes. We have tried to put part bred classes on as often as possible and there will be at least one part bred class a day.

So you are saying that I can ride my 14.2 show pony in a show pony class even though Im 22? (Apart from the Equifest class) I cant find a PBA ridden class on everyday in your schedule? Thank you for the reply though

Over 146cms can do intermediates until there jockey is 25. I know this pony is under that height so not eligible to compete in intermediates.

There is either an open part bred class or a PBA on every day of the show, as well as in hand competition pony classes, intermediate SRT/SHT, show ponies / show hunter ponies (mostly with no upper age limit for the rider). There are also a variety of dressage classes as well, so there should be enough classes for you. The schedule will be ready mid March (hopefully!) and the full details for the classes will be in here.

Just wondering if you have a Restricted part bred class like last year?

We haven't put a restricted Part Bred class in this year - as there were only 4 entries last year - and the restricted classes are on the same day as the Equifest Part Bred Championship classes - so they would have clashed with something wherever I put them. I am going to make the Restricted Arab class into a Restricted Arab / Restricted Part Bred Arab class though - to give the PBAs another class.
