Our little sec a suddenly develops a serious case of the sneezes when my niece gets on board! He doesnt do it when i ride or on the lunge but he knows he can un seat her ... She bounces back up off his neck and trots on unfazed but when shes trying to learn to come off the lead rein its making it hard ...
He doesnt do it when i run along side so im working on her seat with a bit of no stirrups, sitting and standy up trot while i am there to catch but does anyone have any idea of any tricks to stop this learned sneszing behaviour ??
Meg now knows that she needs to bounce back up shorten her reins and trot on till its a nice trot then ask for walk so thats an improvement as she isnt giving in and walking straight away.
Any ideas HG? Sent from my GT-I9100P using proboards

My mare used to do this as she new she would be brought back to walk. The only thing I could do was lengthen my rein slightly and just make her carry on as as soon as I came back to walk she stopped!
