Ive tried global herbs magcalm and it was ok but quite expensive. Ive recently switched to equine america magnitude which has both magnesium and calcium in and has been very effective.

yes molasses can be a very big issue if a horse is being silly (its pure sugar !!!), best idea would be to read the white labels on all your feed bags a give a feed which is molasses free, good practice anyway , but as for a calmer we have found Global herbs supercalm to be very good , best of luck

Hi, molasses is full of sugar that's why I feed speedi beet that doesn't contain any sugar. The only calmer after trying many that worked for the worst mare I ever owned was relax me! It was quite a reasonable price too. I would test what your feeding the horse first to see if that help, also with spring in the air even the most laid back ones are feeling their feet!

Another vote for the reduction or cutting out of sugar from the diet and also for Global Herbs Supercalm, fab stuff and works really quickly too.

NAF Magic is very effective and isn't overly priced.

I used Dodson and Horrell, Calm & Condition as a feed and it worked amazing for my lad who doesn't seem to react to many calmers. Also Top Spec calmer seemed to be decent and the Equine America instant calmers

I've tried alot of calmers alot of them she seemed to be come almost amune to them. The best one I have found is nupafeed which can be fed daily and in a syringe form in stressfull situations.

I have recently been using Step Free by Hack Up. Just a syringe at events but can be used more regularly for maintenance. I have never really found anything that works on my excitable little pony but this does seem to be helping. It was designed apparently for horses that tie up, i would definitely recommend it for a try. Made by a man called Alex Gingell, he does bespoke supplements and does visits etc... Ps i am not sponsored or part of hack up i have just found it very good!!!!

Calm and condition is made by Allen and Page Also Science Supplements Pro-kalm is what everyone who buys is raving about. You can get a tester bag for £10.99. I use Mollichaff Calmer food, This is a complete feed with magnesium ect. Good luck x
