Sherberton Avocet £750Rising 4yo Dartmoor colt. Dark bay, Sherberton bred. DPS reg. Looks to be making up to height boy. Has been tacked and backed. Been with us since yearling.Too small for my daughter to take much further. Good to handle, easy to catch etc. Obviously not suitable for a novice as needs bringing on. Has been shown as a yearling plaited up in SHP in hand. Was placed 2nd and qual SWPA champs. Not shown since due to other commitments. Used to children/chickens and lives next to boarding kennels so used to dogs. Will make super show/all round. Can be gelded if required. Breeding here www.allbreedpedigree.com/sherberton+avocetPic as yearling only time shown Pic last winter as 2yo Pic now as rising 4yo (no he's not over at the knee, he was just about to move his front leg as they always do when you don't want them to lol) Two rising 4yo section A fillies. Homebred fillies. Shown as yearlings locally with success but other commitments and bad weather have meant no showing for two summers. These two fillies were to be kept for my youngest daughter, but sadly her interest in ponies has faded, and my older daughter is far too big for them, so we must now find them homes where they will have more of a life than just standing in the field. Morwenstow Miss Daisy £250 Grey filly is a grandaughter of Gleiniant Cossack. She is mostly Revel bred on her dams side and Twyford on her sires side. www.allbreedpedigree.com/morwenstow+miss+daisyMorwenstow Miss Molly £250Chestnut filly also has lots of Twyford on sires side, with quite a bit of Skellorn on her dams side. www.allbreedpedigree.com/morwenstow+miss+mollyBoth fillies come to call and are used to being handled by children. will consider swap of one/all of above for a larger (15.2hh plus) youngster for my daughter to bring on. Rising 3yo preffered. No natives, native x TB or similar considered as she wants to show jump.

Hi,
No I'm afraid he won't get any bigger, at least I very much doubt he will. The pelham is on him for two reasons. One is that he likes a ported mouth bit, and it's the only one we have that fits him, the other is that we do like to get them used to two reins, jangling bits etc in case anyone wishes to ride in a double or pelham for showing. There is no curb attached to the pelham. Previously to the pelham is was ridden in a rubber snaffle. He didn';t really get on with it, and we tried jointed bits which he wasn't overly keen on, so we settled on this one. I wouldn't say he's strong, but he is a green 3 (rising 4 yo), who has spent most of the summer hacking about and has not been formal schooling for long, so he does need bringing on.
The reason I say this is because I had a series of rude emails from someone telling me that they would expect him to be working like an adult etc etc. He's 3 and I don't expect any 3 year old to be working like an adult, hence why I state he is green and ready to bring on.

i broke my cob at 2 1/2 and only hacked her out she was a big girl i couldnt hve left much longer lungeing n leading can only do so much,,i didnt start real ground work till she was nearly 5 did aload of inhand shows etc,, but i decided it ws beter that we did all the scary stuff first, and had fun on fun rides etc,,, there brain just fizzes out when they get to 10yrs they hve nuf,,he should be green at his age what are people like, the reason i asked if he would get any igger as mine grew form 3 yrs a good 2/3 inches from 13.1 to 14hh from when i got her at 2 1/2 to when she was 6/7 but lost her to colic in august,, never mind hes loverly hes just that bit small,, mine was a blu n white she was a star,, good luck finding him that home

He could well have a growth spurt...who knows lol. You know how unpredictable they can be. We were told he would make 14hh when we got him as a yearling, that's why we're parting with him. He's just too small for my daughter (she wanted to jump him). It looks like he's off to a new home next week, fingers crossed
