1) Won an open NPS affiliated Mixed Mountain and Moorland Ridden class
2) Won a class at an Olympia, HOYS or RIHS qualifying round
3) Qualified for HOYS or RIHS Ridden Class
4) Qualified for the Mountain & Moorland Novice or Intermediate Ridden final at the NPS Summer Championship show
5) Qualified for the Mountain and Moorland Ridden Championship final at Olympia in previous years
6) Ponies must be ridden in a snaffle bit
7) If a pony qualifies for the Horse of the Year Show or RIHS in its second year it is immediately de-noviced and cannot compete in the Picton final.

Horse of the Year Show andThe Showing Register Training Classes & Master Class Pathway Talent Spotting!
Classes are open to everyone and the judge/trainer will give feed back to the exhibitor during the class. Each class will be run on the following format: Enter the ring and go round as a class, line up in any order. One Trainer/judge will watch and give feed back on individual shows whilst the second trainer/judge will cover presentation, in hand technique etc. WHP riders will enter one at a time to jump a set of fences , all riders will then enter the ring and follow the above format. Classes may be split or amalgamated depending on entries. Classes will not be placed.
Entry Fee: £10 Entries taken at the ringside on day of show.

Class 1 M&M pony – Any breed registered or un registered. Rider any age Class 2 Ridden Pony – Any type not exc 153cms, rider any age but suitably mounted Class 3 Coloured Pony – Any type & height, rider any age Class 4 Ridden Horse – Exc 148cms, any type, rider any age Class 5 WHP & M&M WHP – Any breed or type, not exc 153cm rider any age Class 6 Working Horse – Exc 153cms, rider any age Class 7 Lead Rein Pony – Any type, rider not to exc 10 years old on the day of show.

GET SPOTTED for the MASTER CLASS TRAINING PATHWAY!
The Showing Register will be talent spotting from the Training classes at this Show for the TSR Master Class Training Pathway. You could find your path to the TSR/HOYS Showing Master Class!
If you are an Amateur and have not competed at HOYS in 2010,2011, 2012 (and 2013) then you are eligible for the pathway. You could be spotted for the following sections TSR M&M Pathway Riders – TSR Ridden Pony Pathway Riders TSR Coloured Pony Pathway Riders – TSR Ridden Horse Pathway Riders TSR WHP Pathway Riders - TSR Working Horse Pathway Riders
TSR will notify riders if they have been selected for the Pathway in April/May 2013.

Pathway riders will receive a personal training plan with lots of advice and tips to help them achieve their showing goals. One rider from each section of the Pathway will be selected to ride in the TSR/HOYS Showing Master Class at Horse of the Year Show 2013. Plus 12 riders will receive tickets to HOYS and six riders a behind the scene tour. The final selection is on the 20th & 21st July at the TSR Gala Show, Arena (UK),Grantham
