Hi just wondering whats everyones thoughts on the Pessoa? Ive heard of so many people who use it and seen hundereds of pics, but just wondering whether it is worth getting? I have been contemplating buying one for quite a while but dont want to waste my money on something that is useless and does not actually do anything!! What exactly does it do? Does it actually benefit the horse or help with performance?
Your thoughts/experiences on this would be greatly appreciated!!

I use one all the time. I was so surprised at how supple my horse was after using it then riding her. It helps develop certain muscles depending on which attachment you have it on. For example you can click it between the front legs so they work low an it works all their lower neck and back muscles. It makes the horse work from behind and use its back end properly. My horses work so nice on it. Develops balance and muscle tone. Really good purchase. You can get copies of them so if your unsure get the copy an a cheaper on an then if you don't like it you haven't wasted £100

I believe it has helped my horse greatly with balance and muscle tone. Like said above you can use diffrent setting depending on your horses level of schooling. Its a very gradual process. I used the lowest setting for around 8 weeks before moving up to the middle setting. Of course its only going to work if its ajusted correctly and the horse doesnt resist it. I have seen some fight it the whole time wich of course builds up wrong muscles. Is thier no one you can borrow it off to see if your horse works well in it first? I know friend who have cheaper immitations that they have to stop and adjust every 2 mibutes as the pullies and rope are as good a quality of the pesoa.

i have used a pessoa on my ex racehorse and doesn't do her any justice to be honest...i think it just depends on the horse/pony. however, my welsh section d takes to it really well. it helps her to get her balance.

I got the kincade lunging system from robinsons at £35 its much cheaper than the pessoa but works just as well. I can see a difference in my pony and shes only had it on about 3 times so far..... x
