I love my mare and she seems to hate me why oh why can she not just understand that she costs me a fortune and I spend lots of time doing all her jobs and grooming her, all because I love her and mean her no harm! She could have such an easy life if she just didnt make things so d**n difficult if she belonged to anyone else I can pretty much guarantee that she would end up with the meat man! My welshie can be difficult but I at least get some nice attention form him from time to time Sorry for the moan everyone, just would be nice to know she loves me back sometimes haha!

Because she is a horse not a human and you aren't telling her that in ways she can understand?

Maybe you are smothering her with kindness and love when all she wants is respect and to know where her place is in relation to pecking order. I find mares are more aloof than geldings and they seem to prefer a stricter regime, I treat my mares as i would a stallion and they are all happy knowing i'm top dog.

I've only had a couple of mares that are loving and don't take the p when they have chance!

Ok maybe I didnt word my rant correctly I certainly don't smother her as I try to keep her as happy as possible by not being in her space to long. She does not like people in her stable and does not seem to enjoy being groomed overly much? She has a problem with kicking and biting which also dosnt help...there is a story for this behaviour, it is not just out of bad behaviour. Just wish she could understand that I only want her to be happy. I love her to pieces and just wish she could see this lol.
