I want to be able to register my horse with one of these, perferably the cheapest, not really fussed about the qualifiers just want to do some county shows, but im unsure of the cost to register me and my horse. also if he has to have a height certificate?

Chaps you need 1 height cert until their life height, Bspa you have to have one each year, if they are ponies.
Chaps is cheaper to join, and entries are cheaper at the championships.
Have a look the counties you want to do, if they are RIHS then join BSPA if they are Hoys/ champs then CHAPS

a lot of the county shows you dont need to be a member of either society if they are open classes. Only if they are RIHS or hoys classes

do you know if there is any classes at cheshire show that you dont have to be registered for?

the open horse or pony class or the in hand at cheshire on the tuesday dont have to be registered
