Has she actually waxed up and showing other signs or is it just a dot on the teets?

I had a foal born at just over 10 months, 8 years ago, this time of year too, we were lucky everything was fine. He is very senstive to fly bites the vet thinks it because his immune system is weak from being early. Some mares can have wax for a long time.

My mares waddling like a goose and has has wax for 2 out of the 3 weeks I've had her and she couldn't be any saggier! She's eating more than the rest of my horses put together. I'm suffering for sleep depravation. I'm sure she's just obese lol. We need piccies

Yes some mares can have a small amount of wax for a while but you can definitely tell when they are ready. Your mares weather gauge must be a bit off flair, congrats!!

I wouldnt worry with a small pony, I had a large hack mare foal early, her colt was fine but it took a couple of days for his sight to sort itself out
