This is one of my more popular designs which i don't think is over blingy, I tend to ask what classes customers will be competing in and then design accordingly, the very blingy ones do seem to be popular as well though, particularly for evenings where the lights will pick out the sparkle. I think the benefit of having your own design made up is that you can go with your own taste, whether that's for the full on bling or something a bit more subtle.

I am obviously bias but my pony is very pretty anyway so don't want/need anything supper blingy to draw attention lol. I have had red, white and royal blue in the past for her and think I would like to stick with this again. Heres a picture of my mare:
