Hi there, does anyone have any suggestions for what I can put on my horses hooves for the showring? He is registered appaloosa with striped hoof pattern so I need to use something clear. I am looking to use something that will stay shiney when it dries. I have tried lots of products but most of them go dull within a few minutes. Can anyone help me with this?

We used to use Sablene Clear one but are now going with plain old fashioned hoof oil, that will be light enough to show off his stripes

I used sablene clear last year, was good to use for the first few weeks after opening, but towards the end of the show season it had melted then hardened and was such a mess that it had to be thrown away, i will also be sticking to good old fashioned hoof oil next season!

I tend to use normal hoof oil but for evening performances use Asorbine clear varnish.
