Think long boots most correct, I always fancied long brown boots, but when I saw in ring they somehow didn't look quite right, but thats a personal opinion. You can't go wrong with long black boots! There are some very smart chaps available these days, would be interested to see what people think of chaps idea as I am struggling to fing long boots that fit well!!

Nice plain jodphur boots and gaiters are acceptable, but long black boots are often more preferable.

I'm really sorry and this is a pet hate of mine. Can't stand short boots and gaiters for showing especially at hoys level. That is only my opinion of course but I think long black boots look far better.

My daughter shows her large breed in short boots and gaiters. She has really skinny legs and without spending a fortune on having boots made, it was impossible to get long boots that actually fitted and didn't gape open somewhere. So I would say it depends on how old you are ( and if your feet are likely yo grow more) and how much you want to spend !

sergio grasso now do some childrens boots (long) that you can take the foot bed out to make them a size biggerin the foot they also have a hidden panel to let them grow a little in the calf.
