Hi The most cost effective way to do the HOYS Q classes is to join The Showing Register it is £15 for an adult which you would be at 18 years. The owner and rider need to be a member but the pony is OK as it is registered with its breed society. You can also join the NPS or BSPS. For RIHS you have to join BSPS for open flat M and M classes, NPS for M and M workers and P(UK) for Junior M and M - quite an expensive job !! check out www.theshowingregister.co.uk or our FB page for lots of info Good luck Wendy

Hi
We are also thinking of doing a Hoys qualifier, my daughter has section C and she is 14, what would we have to join?
Thanks

Firstly, the 'm&m' pony MUST be registered as a pure-bred with it's relevant breed society
For owner and rider membership, it depends on their age and which qualifiers they want to compete in
It is only The Showing Register which offers a cheaper, one membership for all regardless of age for those wishing to compete in Hoys m&m ridden and/or whp qualifiers
If you want to do RIHS flat ridden m&m quals as well, then BSPS membership is required by both the adult owner and the junior and the pony registered with the bsps and that is rather costly but it does also cover Olympia quals
If you wnt to do RIHS m&m working hunter quals too, then membership of the NPS is required .. HOWEVER, adult NPS membership covers Hoys riddens, Hoys whps and Equifest as well and isnt expensive to join, so if you want to ditch the RIHS flat riddens then join either TSR or NPS ..
... you need a flippin degree to decipher this lot and the TSR are offering a far easier and cheaper option for Hoys pony competitors but sadly this does not cover RIHS quals
