I am considering swapping / my 4.5ton VW LT46 Horsebox for a 3.5ton horsebox. It an X-reg 2000, it has power steering and is a through-cab. Its very easy to drive, I'm a small lady and its the first wagon I've had and I can drive it with ease. It has twin rear wheels so is a sturdy drive and there is no dreaded rocking!
Tax expires at the end of this month April 2013 and the MOT expires the end of May 2013, it has only been used three times since it was last MOT'd and honestly dont think there will be any problems with it. My husband is a HGV mechanic and has recently fully serviced it.
It's very reliable and Economical, it has living area space but this is a blank canvas ready to be done, the luton area is a generous size and will fit a standard single mattress. The horse bit is quite new and very well built, has rubber flooring and padded partition, it can carry up to two 15.2hh horses. It's a side loader, I struggled to lift the ramp on my own so my husband bought me new springs for it, we havent fitted them but the new springs can go with the box.
This horse box is ideal for Someone who is wanting something a bit bigger than a 3.5t with some living accommodation but not as big as a 7.5 which would undoubtedly use more diesel and generally have larger running costs all round.
I am looking for something of a similar quality and condition but just 3.5t, absolutely NO TRAILERS PLEASE!
If you passed your driving test before 1997 you are legally permitted to drive this box without taking another test!
Would consider selling outright, all sensible offers considered
