Belzars Shona is an Eriskay mare, a native Scottish pony. There are only around 420 of these rare breed ponies left.
Quite similar to the Exmoor pony in body type, she stands at 13.1hh. A sparky personality. She is not a novice ride and would be best suited as a second pony for an older child or teenager or an adult.
Shona has previously been shown in hand as well as in saddle and has competed in novice jumping and pony club. Shona has won the Southern Eriskay Pony Show Championship two years in a row and was Reserve Champion the third year with previous owners.
Shona is a low cost pony - she lives out all year round and is unshod. She currently grazes with other mares and is most happy in company.
She is great with the farrier and is up to date with dentist and vaccinations.
Shona comes with full leather tack and plenty rugs etc. £1500 Ono
Good, experienced home essential for this lovely little mare.
If you google 'Belzars Shona' you will find lots of photos and videos of her.

For some reason Eriskays are not allowed to compete in Mountain and Moorland classes, some shows have classes specifically for Eriskays.
They are lovely ponies, there was quite a few on the islands where I live that did Pony Club. Sent from my HTC Wildfire S A510e using proboards
