I am looking for a genuine first ridden M&M preferably Dartmoor for a capable but "tender" 9 year old girl. She is very competitive so needs something that will do well (not HOYS potential just yet though!!) but manners and temperament are more important than looks! We have a Welsh A lead rein for sale that is everything we want but he needs a more experienced rider and we need something to get her started. We do Pony Club etc and so something with a jump would be good although at this point we would be concentrating on flat. Budget available for the right pony, ideally a "been there, done it" type rather than a youngster.

How long would you want the pony for as my daughter's lead rein is not doing anything at the moment and it is really a first year first ridden. Maybe he could teach your daughter the ropes and she could carry on with your own pony?
