Can someone please explain how NCPA membership works? Is it the owner or jockey who needs to be a member to compete at POYS? And does the pony need to be registered too? Thanks

An adult exhibitor needs to be a single member. (£25) If it is child/childrenren riding then they must be included in a family membership (£35) Pony registration is not compulsory but is £20 for life & gives extra classes, rosettes, points scheme etc All forms available to download from www.the ncpa.co.uk Hope this helps.

Thanks Janet. My daughter qualified for POYS today on a friend's pony. So if we want to compete at POYS I need family membership, even though we're not showing our own ponies this year?

nici - yes that is correct or your daughter could be included in your friend's membership if that is the only pony she will ride at POYS, as presumably your friend will be the exhibitor?
However - why not show your own ponies too? Great value & something for all the family - ridden, I/H, WHP & lots of children's classes inc young handler, FR, Junior etc
