We have all got hand, foot and mouth (please note the HAND part - nothing to do with foot and moth in animals!) and my hands really hurt. I am not happy. We have got 850 sheep lambing, so this time of year is always kind of hard on the hands anyway, but mine feel like I've been rubbing nettles into them, and now I have the rash on my feet, lower legs and in my mouth too, so am expecting those to have the nettley feeling tomorrow too. And my youngest son is supposed to be having his MMR, but I'm not sure if they'll let him have it, beacause we also have high temperatures and fever, and there seems to be a measles epidemic not all that far from me, so really want him to. I do realise that none of this is major compare to what some people are dealing with, but it is really annoying me. Grr.
OK, moan over, thanks for listening.

The good news is if your son has H,F & M he won't be able to go to nursery/school and therefore its unlikely he'll be exposed to measles! My son had HFM but it didn't seem to bother him too much. I'm sure its very annoying when you work with your hands though!

very unlikely to allow him to have his MMR at the moment unfortunately.
not great timing for you, never had it here although it does the rounds regularly enough but glad we haven't by the sound of things.

That's true, thank you for finding something positive! It is bothering my husband and I much more than it is bothering the boys - the nurse I spoke to said that it is not all that common for adults to get it, but if they do the symptoms tend to be worse.
