why can't blue merle be kc reg in chiwauwah (sp) just seen it on fb ? Why would it be ?

Different breeds allow different colours. Some are produced by incorrect breeding therefor they are not eligible for KC reg as that colour is not in the breed standard.
Often you will find that foreign breeding imported to the UK carry these incorrect genes, irresponsible breeders sell them as 'rare' but you are just buying a 'lemon' and lining these crooks pockets.

They are also genetic timebomb for illness and often are difficult to train as they have hearing loss, blindness and other disabilities
Some breeds have managed to overcome many of these problems but they still rear their ugly head from time to time.
