Talk to Sue Mart at Bennington - she is a great coach and they are well set up for beginners with school master ponies. It is great fun from the word go! She may well know of ponies and kit for sale as well and will have further contacts for you. britishcarriagedriving.co.uk/ has a forum with lots of things for sale from ponies to harness and carriages and it is generally all good quality stuff. Dragon driving is also a good place to browse but a wider range of quality and you need to know what you're looking for.
