The yard opposite mine was broken into Sunday night/monday morning in Mildenhall Suffolk. Everything that wasnt nailed down was taken incl rugs, headcollars, ropes, bridles and 3 saddles, They also broke into the horsebox and took a showing jacket . Strimmer also taken. It must of taken them quite a while to search the stables, feed/hay room and the horsebox, they took loads and loads of stuff.
My fields are opposite, they cropped the chain from my broodmares field and drove through the elec fence into there. They left the double metal gates wide open WITH THE MARES IN THERE - thankfully i had let them through into their winter grazing so they had no need to be beside the lane otherwise it could of been disasterous. My yard wasnt touched but we have increased security and are lucky that the yard is behind the bungalow..... Question is, why did they come into my fields at all when its nowhere near the yard or stables.....

This is a friend of mine, she has lost everything, she is a single mum with a terminal illness, if you can help by donating anything in pony size - 4'9 - 5'0 they would be very grateful. It is thought that this was the work of gypsies so beware. They even took feed!!!
IF YOU CAN HELP AT ALL PLEASE PM ME - THANK YOU!!

We had our muck trailer stolen once (nice ifor williams one) they broke into our field via next door emptied the trailer of muck hitched up and drove off, but the classical white transit van couldnt make it up the hill with the trailer attached, this alerted my husband and me who roared outside, left the dog inside ( we didnt want her to get hurt), I shone my torch straight onto the purpertrators who were quickly trying to unhitch the trailer! husband ran after them I called the police but they disappeared on foot into the night and were never caught even thou we had about three police cars and a police helicopter! The people the van belonged to said it been stolen they were from a local camp! No one was ever charged even thou they knew who did it! I thought they should have taken fingerprints from inside the van and matched up the dirt to their shoes but my husband said I just watch too much CSI !

This is not the work of the local traavelling community with whome i have made frienships and help with their ponies. I believe that a new crew of Irish travellers that had been parked a couple of miles away had something to do with it - Monday morning they had all but left where they had been parked for last couple of months.
They may be coming to a field near you....

What has been stolen? list the items....we are going for a greasey breakfast at Derby Market on Saturday morning, I know its quite away away but can look out in the tack auction and see if there are alot of used rungs etc in there.
Derby pay out cash on the day so I guess would be a way of getting rid of stolen tack.
