I would go to trading standards...get the 2nd garage to do a report for you so you have some proof then get trading standards involved

Not sure a fan belt would be part of a service but if they have charged you for the other items and you can prove its not been done you should have a good case

The garage i have used this time is my dads bosses garage [he runs a car lot] he doesnt want to get invovled and he has done my car for next to nothing, im taking it there in future. I was going to contact trading standards but it now only my word agaisnt the garages, i should have had an RAC inspection when it broke down in june. I will still contact TS and see what they say. Bet this goes on all the time, when i worked as a vet nurse my boss would charge for treatments that were not done. And yes i left and reported her to the vet gov body, but they did nothing and covered it all up. The world is full of A*** holes who want your little bit of money.
