2 more HOYS winners bite the dust. Capt Hastings and Hamptonne Prince of Tides. It gets worst! And by the way the 2nd placed Small Hunter wasn't measured out, it was never measured at all it had no need to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

unfortunately its true it states on the jmb site captain hastings measures 160.50 and hamptonne prince of tides is 159.50 it is a shame though. the biggest shame is for the 2nd 3rd 4th etc. i also disagree that it is only the winners to be measured, they should ask a member of the audience to pick a number out of a hat, and that pony is measured, no tricks, no - who you know, and it be done before each class, it is very unfair for everyone, asking just the winner, what do they gain from that, any other feedback appreciated. thanks..

You can't take away what a fabulous year captain hastings has had and i am sure he will have an even better year as a large!!!!!!!!! Don't think he's quite bitten any dust!!!

As was said on anouther thread' another hoys measures out' Capt Hastings is just not a large type and would struggle in top co. to reproduce his form. Feel some sympathy for A Lucas small who was 3rd as BOTH FIRST AND SECOND in the small r/h section measured out. H P Tides (2nd to Capt Hastings) was measured because he was L S/R/T winner and was also measured out!!

it is a real shame that they have been measured out...
just a thought now, but to stop this from happening, why not have a dude at the qualifiers to measure them then?? ok i know some horses dont like being measured, but still... just think it would help to put the right horses in the right classes and catagory?
I also agree with the point DL made.
