I was just wondering if anyone could recommend a saddle for my son's shetland? He is two, and rides in either a cub or a Milner pad, and is fine, but we have had an older girl to ride him today who really struggled with the pad. She is a super girl, and I would really like to encourage her to keep coming, as he needs the work, but she found the pad so different to what she's used to. She has her own ponies, I'm getting much more out of her riding him than she is, so would like to get her sorted with something she can jump etc. in. Any recommendations?

If shettie is a chunkie type (arnt they all lol ) they are hard to find a saddle to fit if it isnt a pad type . We tried many types on ours but they always looked like they are perched on top of the pony . Decided to stick with the Zoe snape pad as at least i know it will always fit and never pinch . I know some have fylde samanthers made to measure but my budget dosnt stretch to that . All the shetlands at shows have the Zoe snape saddle and i know lots of them could probably afford a made to measure if it were a better option but they all stick with the suede pads . Maybe a suede pad would be better than leather as at least it has plenty of grip

Thanks, it is a suede Milner pad I have, I guess she might just have to get used to it, I just don't want her not to come because she hates the saddle, she is doing me a favour!
