Llanarth Sandpiper 4 year old well bred Section B pony for sale or loan. Sire: Cwrtycadno Cymro Dam: Llanarth Suzette. I bought Sandy a year ago with the intention of him being my 3 year old daughter's lead rein pony which worked out for the first few months but after being brought on he's turned out too sharp and forward. Sandy has been shown inhand up to County Level since a yearling and is always in the ribbons. He's a very responsive and forward going ride and can be strong at times so not suitable for novices, he'd be perfect for a competent child wanting to go far or a lightweight small teenager/adult. He has a lovely nature and will stand all day to be groomed, he's good with the farrier and great to box/lorry (drags you up the ramp infact)Sandy is fine with vehicles and will hack out alone or in company. He's a sparky wee soul and can sometimes be a difficult to catch if he doesn't know you, if left without a headcollar on. Sandy has jumped up to 2ft6 at home and has had a go round a XC course, proving to be bold and was perfectly behaved. He has jumped logs, tyres, up banks, down banks and cantered through water jumps. Sandy had his first show under saddle a few weeks ago, he behaved impeccably in his ridden class and had a clear round for his first ever go at Working hunter course which he thoroughly enjoyed, he had a wee look at every jump but was very honest and cleared them all. He's currently being ridden by a lightweight teenager but it's selfish of me to keep him when he could go on and do so much more. Excellent trial facilites at the yard where Sandy is based. Photos can be sent on request.
