This might be a long shot but does anybody know of the horse dealer Ronnie Mowbray from Carlisle, does he have a website or if anyone could pm me his current phone number I'd be really appreciative, I'm trying to track down my old pony and know he went through Ronnie Mowbray's yard, so hoping if I get in touch with him he will have any information for me. Thanks

I thought I might have had a number but can't find it. Haven't thought about him for years, he is one of the good guys though, when I went away to university I had a very tricky pony which I couldn't keep, and he found him a super home.

I was hoping he'd be a nice enough man, my old ponies been passed through plenty of dealers and non of them care at all, they won't even pass my number onto who they sold him too or tell me which part of the country he went too, the last place I can trace him is with Ronnie Mowbray so hopefully he can tell me something x

Oh wow, there's a blast from the past! I lived in Cumbria for many years and some very nice horses I know came through Ronnie. He was a real old type horseman and such a character - in a nice way - I myself tried a very nice little black cob there once, that had only just been broken but was as good as gold. Although I decided it was not the one for me, Ronnie was lovely and never put any pressure on me to buy it or any other horse on the yard.In fact just the opposite, as I liked one very much but he told me that it was not suitable for me and why it wasn't. I used to have a number for him but haven't got one now. I did wonder wether it may be wort you trying to find him via some of the local equestrian centres up there - esp Blackd**e Farm at Carlisle, or possibly the local tack shops too, as he was very well known locally so surely one of these may be able to help you out. Good luck and hope you find both him and your pony, keep me posted as I'd be really interested to know how Ronnie is doing nowadays.

He's looking into it but no records were kept, I'd really appreciate it if anyone knows someone who bought a 13.2hh pony off Ronnie, December 2010 onwards could message me, or ask around, liver chestnut pony called Scooby! X
