Hi All,

Another newbie to bore you all   Have lived in the UK for 13 years and only just found this forum!

I have a rising 9 year old bay Lusitano stallion, who I brought unbacked as a 3 and half year old from Portugal.  And this year have decided to have a go at showing for the first time ever.

I would really appreciate any tips on turnout for both horse and rider, any unspoken ettiquette I should be aware of, any help at all, believe me I am a true novice in this area!  Dont even know what colour jacket I should get!

bot certain if you wear something traditional for foreign breed classes, go to a good show and watch or ring up the society that covers showing them in this country

Thanks very much gillwales. I went to a show last weekend and watched the classes for a while and got some ideas. :-)
