Why are Admin being so heavy about dope testing questions? The FEI post was totally valid. FEI testing is a tremendous idea if showing is to work towards a brighter future. FEI testing would bring us into line with other global equestrian sports with internationally agreed rules and resolutions.
The question moved to the Snug zone suggested a real move forward. It is about time showing caught up with the rest of the equine world and if riders can be tested that's no bad thing. It makes economic sense to use vets & medics already on site who are experienced at testing and have been approved for the duties they are given.
There were obviously issues around the NPS tester not taking samples. it does seem strange that the Malvern dope team weren't given the Olympia job but lessons will be learnt from this and can be discussed elsewhere. At least this site has opened our eyed to what went on.
Admin please allow those of us unable to log on to ask questions. We share a sport so please lets us share our opinions. Thank you

Glad to be of some help maverick, may I take this opportunity to welcome you to HG and wish you a merry Christmas. And know lets get back to the question in hand, I do agree that a more transparent form of testing should be implemented, I just find it sad that these lengths are needed for our native ponies, perhaps I'm to old and set in my ways, believing that good solid ground work is all that is needed to achieve the desired results.

Half pass how I wish that were true. My friend bought a high profile Connemara a few years back and it had problems from the word go. They did everything under the sun to get it right, Newmarket, the best vets etc but as it was never to be sound again it was returned to its previous owner. Weeks produced and ridden by a native professional it qualified for HOYS.

FEI Testing at Olympia would be ACE The NPS could ask them to random test a few riders and ponies
