If a sire and a dam are both coloured – sire being homozygous. Will every foal they breed also be homozygous? I have a real hard time understanding genetics so I don’t want people to go too far into answers!
thanks

If the mum is homozygous too then yes, if only one parent is homozygous then there's a 50% chance the foal could be but only if both parents are coloured x

No, on average half of them would be. Homozygous means carrying two copies of a gene, in your case tobiano. Assuming the dam is heterozygous (one copy) she can only pass her copy on to on average half her foals, while the sire will give one to every foal he sires. So half the foals would be hetero and half homo.
