Yes. Either speak to your vet or if there is anyone local to you with an AI centre try them. You will need a sample!!!! We tested our teaser by letting him bounce a mare and being ready with the false va***a to collect his s***n. vet then tested it. It needs storing at a certain temperature etc so you need someone with all the correct kit.

Yes the quality can be assessed by collecting. However the viability of the semen cannot be tested unless positive pregnancies are achieved

yep it can be costly to train a stallion to collect as most ai centers will insist on swabs before they let a stallion onto the premises it may be easier if you have a very quiet mare that is in season that you can use as a dummy with a vet with an av but unless its a vet used to doing a lot of repro work they wont have the kit to sperm count most vets just seem to have a quick look under a scope and if there are a lot of progressively motile sperm that's good enough . you could try the defra list of approved ai technicians in your area and see if anyone can help you out they might be cheaper and be able to give you a better assessment . its worth if you can get a collection having it extended and chilled and assessed over a few days as some stallion store very well and others don't
