When i ride i ride with my shoulders hunched, iv had this problem since i had my 2nd pony floss and i think it was something to do with her being so strong an pulling me forward but i dont know. Ill try get pictures but it is quite bad. Id love to be 'normal' but find it really really hard, even when iv got someone on the ground constantly reminding me i still do it. Has anyone got any tips to stop me doing it ?

Its a bit old school but put a whip across your back and hooked in the crese of each elbow, to keep it in place and try riding in walk, to get used to it.
this should strighten you out!

Our old instructor used to get us to bring our shoulders up towards our ears, then push them as far back as possible, then down as far as possible, to put them in the right place! Also check out your hands, make sure you have your thumbs at the top and balance a whip on top of both hands with your thumbs holding it in place. If you put your hands out in front of you and turn your thumbs upwards you can feel it pushing your shoulders back.

Hiya make sure you are looking up and concentrate on lifting your chin - its biomechanics if your head is down your shoulders tip too. Im terrible for looking at the horse when riding! Also when rising trot try to concentrate on rising forward with your hips rather than just up and down if you focus on the "pelvic thrust" (cue giggles and rude comments!) that should also straighten you up a bit!
