Sorry to those who get to RI on a regular basis and think I'm rather sad, but this is our very first time, with the pony we have owned for six years and who is our family pet ie no conditioning, no lungeing, no side reins etc etc; he's picked up, he's dropped for a while, he's jumped, he's hacked, he's schooled and he accepts it all;so we are all totally excited about bringing him to RI on Saturday. I don't care where we come; he is a superstar for qualifying, as is my fab little 11 year old daughter. Can't wait to see the smile on her face when she's in the ring. As far as I'm concerned this is what showing is about; doing what you love to the best of your ability and accepting the end result, whatever that may be. Good luck to everyone and enjoy the moment xxx

Maybe I should be putting this comment in post-mortems, but anyway... Sunny behaved like a total angel and, although not placed, we were so delighted to have been part of such a legendary show. Huge congratulations to everyone who was there and thanks to the Hickstead staff who were so helpful, friendly and polite. |
