i would use Global Herbs super calm , we have never had anything from them that didnt work , and if it makes her and your life happier and easier i would give it a try , trusting that everything physically is ok

She needs to be out 24/7 in a paddock where she sees everything, let the dogs bark, children playing, bang things and make as much noise as possible whenever you or anyone else goes past her - she will soon desensatise.

We had a 5 year old that was like this - she'd been shut in a stable top door closed in her previous home and she was very spooky and nervous. We turned her out with our sensible older horse where she can see and hear everything - we live very near to a main road, so at first she was very nervous and wouldn't leave the gate in the field, now we can't get her in! Ponies we've bred have always been fine because they have grown up in such a spooky environment nothing really phases them. I agree turn her out and let her see/hear everything she will soon get used to it!

Thanks everyone .only had pony 3 months and had been out 24/7 so been there .Still out during the day and in at night and have given it a pretty noisy atmosphere to live in.Birds from the bushes this morning nearly had me off such a spooky animal.Worries me to take it into the show ring ?
think need to try calmer in food before an accident happens

My little filly did this recently, I bred her and always owned her so was so out of character, she couldn't even cope with being touched! She went on agnus cactus (sp) and magnesium and moved her to a field with longer rougher grazing than the short stuff which was too full of sugars. Like a totally different filly now and back to her less spooky self

Put my VERY spooky mare on Magic calmer after she spooked and took off, the girl riding came off and fractured her back. She has only been on it a week or so but has settled down quite a bit x
