I have purchased a stable, and now i am struggling as they havent produced a stable pass, saying Equifest dont actually dont issue them this year, and there is only 1 lorry pass which i dont have!!! EQuifest are not helpful, just saying nothing to do with them, and i have to get the lorry pass from the person booking the stable. I feel i am being punished for not buying from Equifest, yet there were no stables to buy!!! I am also told that i have to arrive when the other person booking the stables arrives, yet we are 200 miles apart, and arriving on different days. Does anyone have a spare lorry pass, just to make life a bit easier???

It's not just the lorry pass you need, you also need to paperwork/stable conformation letter that says you have got a stable which is sent to whoever bought the stable from equifest, I'm guessing whoever you bought your stable from has not provided you with it??

Yes, tinkerbell2006 is correct, even if you can find someone with a spare lorry pass you still need the letter which contains all of the entry and stabling conformation to show to the stable manager to get the stable. just a thought, but is the person who you have bought the stable from arriving before you? if so, can't they get the stable for you! the onlything then is if you get a lorry pass you probably won't be able to park as close as liked.

Every year people get told not to buy stables from other people but from equifest directly yet people still do and have problems. At the end of the day this isnt equifest fault they gave everybody plenty of time to book stables and warned to book early to not be disappointed

There were always stables to buy, you just didn't book one early enough. Perhaps you should have booked earlier. The Equifest team are quite right, it has absolutely nothing to do with them and so therefore, it is your own problem and they have warned people NOT TO BUY STABLES INDIRECT FROM EQUIFEST. This infuriates me that people rant and moan about the Equifest team being useless and not helping when these sort of situations arise, if it wasn't for them, you wouldn't have an Equifest to go to!!!!!!

Before the world gets on their high horses, desperate to put the boot in and criticise other people, it was a post for genuine, nice advice!!! Lucky are those who had the money to book stable and entries alike, at the time and in time !!! SAdly due to family problems, and the need to support others in need, I was unable to afford to book the stables as well as the entries..... then sadly they had run out! No one is asking for a 'slating' just some advice thats all!!! There are stables legitimately for sale from poor people who have sick ponies, and genuine people willing to buy them.... not a crime really??? Just checking on the logistics of doing this.....
Thank you for all those kind replies with good advice

But mirejaal, your original post has triple exclamation marks twice which indicates you are angry with Equifest and they really cannot be held responsible for private transactions between competitors for stables, just what do you expect them to do? sadly we live in a world where most people cannot accept the responsibility of their own actions and have to blame someone else :/ re. paying for entries and stabling at the same time, did you know you only had to enter and pay for ONE class with each stable you paid for and then you could have topped up your entries at a later date .. it has been this way for at least a couple of years now and doesn't half help ease the burden of expense hope you get sorted and enjoy Equifest, a truly magnificent equestrian experience

You need to get in touch with the person who sold you the stable and sort out logistics, as Tywood said, are they arriving before you or you before them? Either way, one of you needs to grab the stables when you arrive.

Situation sorted, thank you for the pms with useful advice and offers of passes etc. We are not new to competing at Championships, having done PUK, NPS, BSPS and Equifest for many many years now. IT is very usual for competitors to sell stables to each other, and usual to purchase additional lorry passes in the light of this. Providing you can provide a pass, and name of purchaser there has never been a problem with stabling that we have experienced. The only show where extra lorry passes are limited is Hoys! Why i didnt purchase a stable in the earlier months is irrelevant, and one would book up the classes in case of them being full if left too long. I had purchased a stable, from someone who genuinely needed to sell and just needed an extra pass to allow me access to Equifest. UNfortunately they had sold one of their 2 stables and wanted to retain the pass for their access on the day. Hence the post asking for help... ALL SORTED ...............
