After having a quite successful day, on the lap of honour in one class a lady (if you can call her that) shouted at my daughter "you should not have won that class" This comment upset my daughter and put quite a damper on the day for her. I appreciated that everybody is entilted to their oppinion but to shout it so others can here is quite frankly rude, disgraceful and it made her look a pra*t. If the people in question had had their competion number on I would have made a complaint against them (this I would not normally do). The end of the day got better for my daughter as she went Reserve Supreme of the show.

Well done to your daughter, it's a shame jealous people have to try and ruin it for other people

Well done, ignore ignorant people!! I had same last recently, Mum overheard lady next to her say my mare shouldn't have won it's class....truth is different judge different day.....probably a different result, but if your not grown up enough to accept judges decision you should give it up! Enjoy your moment, who's opinion is more important, the judge, or random nobody at the side of the ring??

That's disgusting behaviour! Hope your daughter wasn't too upset and well done for the reserve supreme - clearly they were doing something right and the 1st place was well deserved!

Sometimes you get non horsey people at the ring side that don't realise what they are saying, BUT if this was a horsey person and directed actually at your child that's disgusting, I have the odd non horsey family member that come to watch me and would say oh never mind you should have won, and a loud child with issues that sometimes blurts things out unintentionally (which is why I try to go it alone sometimes !!!!) We had a nice day we won our tack and turnout which is a blooming hard class to win, ok we only sat pretty and did a lap of honour in trot BUT we were immaculately clean, which with a poohy coloured highland that bathes in pooh is no easy task. Pulled in third in the in hand and dropped to 5th, I know exactly why and rightly so and so quite happy with that and we have all the time in the world and our time will come. will try and post a picture

EM5 Moorgreen seemed to be well attended (in the classes we did) Not got any pictures yet, only the one that my daughter chose free of charge as part of the prize for Reserve Champion.

Sadly this isn't an isolated occurrence at many shows there are comments at the ringside that are awful, I went to a big show in August was riding around the collecting ring minding my own business when a very well known man stopped me on my horse made some very negative comments about my horse and myself then proceeded to slap horse on bum as I passed him, this for me was the breaking point, stuff showing why did I put myself in that situation I'm nervous anyway to actually ride in a collecting ring was a first for me but an achievement, I enjoy riding my boy and that's what I'm going to keep doing but as a happy hacker get my confidence up then in a few years perhaps I will be able to slap his horse on bum when I'm overtaking him in the ring ;-) lol

I saw your connie and thought how lovely it was. Don't let a minority of rude individuals spoil it for you, those that mattered and who are knowledgeable obviously chose your pony to win. There were some very nice people at the show and a lot making nice comments about your pony so take no notice. Great show, thank you to the organisers

There are people like that everywhere unfortunately I remember waiting to go in for my 1.10m jumping class on my cobby 15hh pony when I was just turned 16, I was in front of massive, intimidating looking horses with adult riders. They started looking down their noses at everyone and saying how terrible it was that there was just no competition there at all. Needless to say, I showed them up on my pony by beating them all! The look on their faces was priceless.
