Ask for a landline number, this should prevent anyone scamming you. Also as advised by the Mods, only pay via paypal, if you link your account to a credit card and not a debit card you will get double protection on large purchases.

This poppy valentine, or whoever she is needs to be locked up, theres a FB page advising what to do if you have been scammed by her. Surely if a strong enough case can be built they will finally do something to stop her.

Yeah shes been getting all sorts of abuse, shes speaking to the police about it and fraud action esp now bad poppy is saying shes from Manchester (amongst other places) it would seem that bad poppy has realised good poppy is taking some of the flack for her wrong doings so it trying to make people think that it is the other poppy doing it.

This isn't a new thing, Ive known poppy, well known of her since she was a kid at school as I used to run a forum which was quite popular with horsey people in Kent and Poppy was a member.... she was ok for a few years, then it seems she kept getting in with trouble makers and causing all sorts of trouble, then about 4-5 years ago she started to sell dodgy stuff, like phones which were working when people collected them and then got blocked a day or two after. She left a lot of local yards owning money and for the past 4 - 5 years at least everytime she seems to be mentioned it was about something unsavoury. I do think shes unwell mentally, not that that is an excuse for what shes doing to people but she cant be right in the head to honestly think she isn't going to get caught in the end, despite all the noise about what shes doing, she is still doing it!

I don't think she's ' mentally unwell at all, as she was perfectly aware of what she was doing when she scammed me - she's just an evil cow, pure and simple and I do hope that when it all catches up with her, she is punished severely by the law and put away for a very long time!

Well she's just tried scamming me tonight under the name of Joy Alkins! Wanted me to transfer £150 deposit tonight for a saddle that I couldn't collect until Monday. Said her husband wanted the money tonight cause they keep getting messed about when selling things!!

Apparently she is doing it with horse boxes too, I was reading a bit about scams on the travel two horse boxes site, there she is Poppy Eastwood!! Scamming people with a fake horsebox now!!

I cant believe this is still going on and the police or fraud people cant stop her. On here is her picture, her mobile number, her address and her bank details. There is a facebook page about her and lots and lots of victims. How much longer have we geniune buyers and sellers got to keep looking over our shoulders?

I am 8 months pregnant not having an easy time (not that it makes any difference as it shouldn't matter if 5p taken from a millionaire-it's not hers to take!!!) and she has scammed me. I am cross upset and seriously want this sorted. I have scrolled through all of the pages for hours collecting information that the police should be doing. I have been in touch with fraud and tried banks today who really don't give a XXXX!
I will update the police with my statement again tomorrow with everything I have found out but feel free to add info and I'll ring it through. I am not letting this lie.
I have her address etc as do the police so why is she still able to do it. By the way I live Cheshire so if she uses my address to scam please contact me to let me know and I will confirm my address but rather not post it! Pretty worried by the fact she has alot of info on me as it is!

I have informed moderators too now I have been in touch with Fraud as I don't want any of my details she has being used obviously. I hope people see this and read it as I didn't until AFTER the scam. Had I have read the names before being contacted I would have known. Maybe the list of names needs to be the home page so everyone sees it before advertising a wanted item as not everyone will open the Warning Sophie Blanchett Page first until they have been scammed and wish to dig for info like me!

If you have had anything please log it with Fraud 03001232040. They are lovely and will take a statement but not tell you anything regarding investigation. We will only catch her/him/it/thing along with many other names I can think of if we report it. I was told the amount she has scammed doesn't matter but make sure it is reported!

I too suggested that all the names being used be added to the warning on the wanted page as laura says she didnt read this thread until after she had been scammed
