i may be being really awful here and i apologise if i am wrong but i think she is now using the name melanie wicks - she contacted me on my email listing various show saddles, seems exactly the same as louise barrett

Hi I nearly got done as she replied to my wanted ad for a courtlea NUMNAH ..... She uses the phrase "HUN " alot she said she had the NUMNAH I wanted but didn't have any pics as it was in storage  Amazingly she found one ... I smelt a rat , I looked up google images and found the pic she had sent me ... This was a courtlea NUMNAH that had sold a year and a half earlier !!!! I carried along with her to get more details and bank details Name of account P Eastwood !!!!! Thank goodness I clicked or I would of lost the money .HOW CAN PEOPLE LIKE THIS KEEP SAILING ALONG RIPPING GOOD PEOPLE OFF !!!!!!! KEEN TO GIVE EVIDENCE AS I HAVE ALL HER MESSAGES AND TEXTS ?? cori9819 I have sent you a PM. Laura X |

watch out for her, she is unbelievable!!

when I first spoke to the halifax fraud squad they where very helpful and told me what to tell people how to go about things. so im surprised to hear that they aren't being as helpful as what they said they would be. HOWEVER..i am rather concerned about LAURA, SHE HAS BEEN MARVELLOUS but she is expecting a baby very soon and I don't think she should be doing so much work on this case. I know she wants to stop this b.tch. but im concerned that shes now like a dog with a bone. Im sure there is enough information on the threads for victims to carry on and dig deep themselves now. it is time consuming but if you want a result you have to do some hard work.

Cant believe people are STILL being scammed by this person. Post in Wanted section saying just been scammed by Louise Bartlett. Unfortunately some people are just going straight to wanted section and placing adverts without seeing this thread

I must say I am bemused too! Firstly how does she open accounts with a false identity? She must be a little bit more sophisticated in criminal ways and means than originally thought. Secondly surely every victim is given a crime number and this should be sufficient evidence for a bank to freeze an account pending investigation. When I got involved with this some months ago all the people who contacted me had crime numbers and all were at that stage hopeful that action to stop her was imminent and it wasn't until I happened to go on this site that I realised she was still at it! She didn't manage to scam me but if she had I would be doing a very public sit in on the bank that she held an account with and not move until I had the personal attention of the manager. I think I would be inclined to give Orpington police station a similar visit. The point being all people who have lost money to her in the last couple of months have been let down badly by the banks and by the police. Their losses have been totally unnecessary as this scammer was identified months ago.

You're telling me! MY BANK WAS NOT INTERESTED! I think a few of us have done more than the Police. Perhaps she is getting others to open accounts and then she handles them! Yes I have crime number and given it as link to others who have rung. Unfortunately 8 months pregnant and a long way from Orpington! If situation was different I would be fighting EVEN HARDER!!!

Admin sent a PM to every member warning them to be cautious and suggesting emails/mobile nos are only provided by PM. We (the mod team) need to be careful what we say as we wouldn't want to prejudice any legal action people wish to take but we are watching everything that is going on. |

With regard to the bank accounts, I may be very wrong but when transferring money into an account, it's the sort code and account number that matters, the name doesn't. So you can put any name really hence all of her aliases!

I have 3 bank accounts, I only use one and the other 2 are for savings but they were very easy to open. |

I've not read the entire thread so apologies if this is being repeated but there is a group on Facebook - "Scammed by Poppy Eastwood" all the latest info is in there. If you've suffered loss or have information it might be wise to join. The most important thing is to try and stop anyone else from getting scammed, thereafter doing everything you can to get your money back. So far, I do believe some previous bank accounts have been closed down and she's trying to get paid via Western Union, failing that, a Santander account that belongs to someone else.

OK so a bit more for you...
I have e-mailed Ann Barnes the Kent Crime commissioner. I have now rung the office and option 1. I have made a strong complaint that she is on bail yet still scamming and been assured I will get a reply but I also said she needs stopping now and re-arresting! They took the latest notes and also checked e-mail had been received. You all need to inundate them with your stories too and maybe this will help a little! Keep going you lot!

This is awful, how can she still be getting away with this? Having read through this thread I think all of you have done an amazing job in raising awareness of this person and helping to stop her scamming other people! Hopefully she will be brought to justice soon! xx

As most of you will be aware that LAURA HAS WORKED ENDLESSLY to try and help you all to get a refund on your money that the theving bit*h conned you out off.Well she is expecting a baby shortly and being a victim of this scamming herself, I thought it would be a nice gesture to give a little in return for her hard work. if you read on Facebook...scammed by poppy eastwood you will see this is a genuine gesture. I NOW have laura paypal name but cant post it on here, so if anyone would like to say Thankyou to her..dosent matter how small a contribution just to say a little thankyou. if you pm me I will give you her paypal details

Little idea...
IF you are a customer of HSBC and transferred any money to Poppy (trying not to swear her name out) please could you ~pm me if you wish any details eg full name your sort code and account number (I can't do anything with it!) and the account and name she was using to transferred money into. I need to know the amount, date and the reference you placed on the account. I will make a list of all info gained and go suited and booted tomorrow into the big branch in our nearest city and cause a fuss!!!! Perhaps this will generate some interest from my bank and I will tell them they will be loosing customers if we don't feel like we are valued. No offence to anyone but I would also like to speak on the phone to someone who speaks English well enough to be able to communicate effectively when I need to. If you feel this is a good idea let me know and get Pming. I'll be going in tomorrow if enough response. If not I'll wait until Monday. Need enough people to make it worth while though x
