It wouldn't take long for a private investigator to track her down!

Also everyone who has been scammed need to bombard her bank branch, any bank that is inundated by those who have sent money to her bank account would need to investigate and put a hold on the funds otherwise they are allowing a serious crime to go untouched, the bank has a fraud investigation team, it needs referred to them asap

My bank ( Natwest ) couldn't help at all! They said because I had sent the money she hasn't actually stolen it from me and it doesn't count as fraud !!!

However, she is still committing fraud if she is advertising and accepting payment for goods which she has no intention of supplying. I would be going to the police and causing a huge uproar if they can't offer advice on how to deal with this. A one-off scam is awful, but it's ridiculous that this girl is getting away with doing this so frequently.

I got scammed earlier this week, ring nationwide fraud line and report the fraud, they told me they would freeze the account. Also ask your bank to issue an indemnity request. If nationwide get lots of indemnity requests, I.e. have to repay the money to your bank, hopefully they will investigate. She lives in kent.

We aren'. Getting our money back soon join the fb page and there is a number for Richard coulson the cid in Kent the banks won't freeze her account as she's not technically stealing but it is fraud by deception however it's a massive case but Apparently there isn' enough to go on? Would love to know how??!!? Not that scamming all these people isn't enough! It riles me! Her family claim she doesn't live with her in lovibonds but we're absolutely certain she does!! Why would there be 3 cars for her mum, young not driving brotther and maybe a possible mum partner..... It still leaves One extra! There's alot of people wanting to go bombard her door now! How much have you all got done for? I was silly enough to send 620 for fylde saddle bridles and numnahs

Basic checks to make when buying online - always google the seller's name, username, email address and mobile number. It's amazing what you can find. So sorry for those caught up in this fraudster's web and who've lost hard earned cash. I do hope the police will be willing to get involved and you get your money back. Remember to keep all details of communication with this thief as evidence, along with bank statement details.

There is a facebook page, 'scammed by poppy eastwood' and another 'beware of equestrian fraud from sophie blanchett' makes interesting reading! are these two the same people? I can't read the poppy eastwood page as its a closed group which doesnt raise awareness easily. Thankfully I havent met these two but have been involved in a case regarding a woman who was doing something similar on ebay (not equestrian related) and I managed to get a conviction against her by getting 5 other people involved to go to their local police station and insist that they took statemnts and prosecuted for fraud. I then took her to small claims court for costs. She now has a criminal record and had fines etc. The money involved in this case was a lot lot less and the police still took it seriously. I believe the total amount for all 6 people involved was about 2k. I can't understand why the police won't do anything in this case either?

This just seems to make unbelievable reading - I mean we must be looking at thousands of pounds of fraud.... Does anyone know what kind of timescale this has been going on for now? I really hope everyone effected can get their money back...and the bank and police start actioning something soon. What's the TV programme where they look into this kind of thing? - anyone tried contacting?

a very quick google (as I am bored with watching pepper pig cooking this morning!) reveals some very interesting reading. It appears she doesnt just scam horse people! why on earth are the police not doing anything about this woman? ?

Just another thought for a different angle - what about contacting HMRC local office for Kent. If she has been earning the money illegally, I doubt she has been paying tax on it!!!! might be a quick route to push the police into something as well??

I think if you are selling your private property on eBay etc. you don't have to declare it. I am shocked at the amount of people she has ripped off and although I have been lucky until now I will never pay anyone by BACS anymore. Just out of interest I assume the banks response would be the same if you had paid by cheque?

So pleased I never fell for her scam but feel sorry for the ones that did. She said to me she was based in Manchester and when she said she never had paypal I said I would come and pick the saddle up. She said I couldn't because she was going away and could I do bank transfer? I said I needed the saddle for Sunday so she would send it through courier and it would be their by dinner time sat this was Friday at midnight. I remembered reading somewhere of a similar sorry so googled her name, luckily her e mail address said Poppy Eastwood

Can I also add that you are NOT protected by PayPal if you send the transaction as a gift. Just wanted to make users aware of this as I have been caught out on this little detail. Alex x

Kirstylaws is now on here as kstp, she has just contacted me as i had enquired about the saddles for sale, she offered me one of two fylde samanthas, sent me photos of a very nice new looking saddle and asked for £300 for it, said she lived in manchester, alarm bells rang for me as no one would seriously be selling a saddle for that price in that condition. I told her I wasn't intersested as hubby wouldn't release the money, thank goodness! This person needs stopping now before others get duped into sending money to her!!!

Yes, she's changed her user name from kirstyshadow.
I suggest anyone buying is extra vigilant and only use PayPal or cash on collection.

Is it not possible to block her IP address so she can't place anymore adverts on here? Report to trading standards if anyone has her address, details etc?
